Externships and Internships

Externships

Damon Ogan at Austin Equine AssociatesAustin Equine Associates offers year-round externships for veterinary students regardless of class year. We encourage a minimum of two weeks and can house one student per externship. The externship and internship programs are very hands on, and we encourage interactive participation in daily cases as well as treatment and observation of hospitalized patients. Externs will be included in morning rounds and weekly journal clubs and will be expected to participate in reviewing scientific literature pertinent to particular cases or disease processes. We recommend externs provide their own transportation. If interested, please contact Dr. JoLynn Joyce via email at joyce@austinequine.com
